End NPC: Fisherman Riko Quest text: Fisherman Riko: Ah, I see you've noticed my eye-catching hat! I know it's a little ostentatious, but I find it distracts people from the overpowering smell of fish. Fisherman Riko: Fishing's been in my family for generations, you see, and I wouldn't give it up for anything. It's been the one constant joy in my life, through all the ups and downs. Fisherman Riko: Why, you can fish almost anywhere! Off the side of a fast-moving clipper, or in a hidden lagoon while you wait for nightfall. Even out your window in Seareach prison, if you can bribe a guard or two. Fisherman Riko: But hey, enough about me. You look like someone who'd enjoy casting a line or two of your own! Fisherman Riko: Whaddya say? Are you interested in learning how to fish? Fisherman Riko: Well then, let's get started! But unless you intend on jumping in to catch the fish by hand, you'll need to make yourself a decent fishing rod. Fisherman Riko: Since you're just starting out, I'll help you make your first rod. The first thing you'll need is a Sturdy Steel Reel. Fisherman Riko: Well then, let's get started! But unless you intend on jumping in to catch the fish by hand, you'll need to make yourself a decent fishing rod. Fisherman Riko: Before making a Basic Fishing Rod, you need to craft a Sturdy Steel Reel first at the Carpentry Workbench. Make sure you have Lumber and Iron Ingots. Fisherman Riko: Once you've got your Lumber and your Iron Ingots, use a Carpentry Workbench to combine them into a Sturdy Steel Reel. Then come back here and we'll start the next step. Fisherman Riko: Good work! Ready to put that reel on a pole? Fisherman Riko: Here, take this Basic Fishing Line to get you started. Making your first fishing pole can be a little confusing, so I figured I'd make it easy on you. |
