End NPC: Nui's Shield Member Alana Quest text: Nui's Shield Member Alana: Jaira's medal has earned you entrance to our city, but not access to our secrets. With everything that's happened, you'll still need to pass our test before we know we can trust you. Nui's Shield Member Alana: Placed around our village are four gates. They are the Water Gate, Fire Gate, Blood Gate, and Life Gate. Pass through each one, in order, and you may stay in Ardenia as long as you wish. Nui's Shield Member Alana: Each gate will test you in a different way. But if you are wise, and strong of will, you will succeed. Begin with the Water Gate, on the western side of our village. This Vitalized Water will start the magic of the trials. Nui's Shield Member Alana: You completed the ritual! Congratulations. Now you can learn the true nature of our order. Nui's Shield Member Alana: As servants of the Goddess Nui, the Arden Guard are sworn to protect these lands from the forces of Kyrios. From misguided young necromancers, to the undead hordes of the Crimson Army itself... we will stand our ground. Nui's Shield Member Alana: If you know your history, you've learned how Kyrios drove our people from Auroria. And how the Goddess Nui gave her life to save us, leading us through the land of the dead until she could open a gate here, to Nuia. Nui's Shield Member Alana: But few realize how eagerly the Dread God still hungers for our death. Every day his forces assault the Hereafter Gate, attempting to break through. And rumors reach us of strange rifts, releasing foul undead onto our shores. Nui's Shield Member Alana: That is what it means to be an Arden Guard. |
