Full text The Sungold Fields were home to both the Sunflower Meadow and Blacksoil Moor. The Sunflower Meadow was on a particularly sunny rise, perfect for farming. Watermelons and fig trees seemed to particularly flourish in that area. Even the humblest farmer starting off with the fewest seeds found riches beyond imagination by cultivating the Meadow's fertile soil. When Shatigon, the god of prosperity, descended from the heavens and raised an army, the Meadow farmers were the first to join him. They were overwhelmingly grateful for his previous blessings.Blacksoil Moor was the Meadow's perfect opposite. The earth was as black as coal, forever muddy, with a sheen of oil on the surface. The driest portions still let you sink up to your ankles in the mire; the wettest were known to swallow travelers whole. The lotus was said to the be only thing capable of growing there, and the vibrant hues of lotus blooms the only spots of color in the brackish landscape. | |||
