End NPC: Estio Quest text: Brownscale Wyrmkin Kainack: I'm sorry if I scared you, this was not my intent. Our kin has been having horrible nightmares and hallucinations, which feel very real. We've been struggling to tell reality apart from dream. Brownscale Wyrmkin Kainack: The nightmares are always the same. War is raging and the Wyrmkin are fighting against humans, who slaughter us and try to kill our masters. The screams of people dying, the scent of burning flesh... Brownscale Wyrmkin Kainack: Even though we want nothing more than to run and get as far away as we can, my kin is forced to fight, as if someone took over our bodies and makes us strike. Brownscale Wyrmkin Kainack: I'm so sorry if we attacked any members of the Crimson Watch, we always viewed them as close ally. One of my kin must have mistaken them for the humans from their dreams or was hallucinating the war. Brownscale Wyrmkin Kainack: I know this apology doesn't make good for the hurt we caused, but if you could tell the Crimson Watch what's happening to us, perhaps they will understand that we don't mean them any harm. Brownscale Wyrmkin Kainack: I agree however, that they should stay away from us for the moment. We don't know what is causing these nightmares and until we can rid ourselves from the symptoms, any of us might mistake a friend for a foe. Brownscale Wyrmkin Kainack: Especially your horned kind... Warborn you call them? Whenever we see them, our hallucinations get even more vivid and violent. Please ask them to keep distance from us for now. Brownscale Wyrmkin Kainack: I hope this will end soon, we're all exhausted. The constant terror in our minds and the fear we all feel... we can't live like this. Estio: I'm glad you're back safe. Those poor Wyrmkin are haunted by horrible nightmares and hallucinations of a war? Estio: No surprise they attacked us, if they were hallucinating and fearing for their life. I will make sure to share this knowledge with the Crimson Watch, so they know the Wyrmkin are still our allies. Estio: And as their allies, I think we should do everything we can to help them. Tania, please make sure to ask all Warborn to be especially considerate of their surroundings, when they travel across Karkasse. Tania: Gladly, Estio. If our presence further amplifies their symptoms, then we are also at higher risk of being a victim of an unwanted attack. We will remain in town and only travel if absolutely neccessary for the time being. |
