Quest text:
Lucius Quinto: Dahuta's Black Pearl. It is true that she claims the souls of those who die at sea and brings them back as her puppets.
Lucius Quinto: I'm afraid to say that you did not break Rangora's curse by removing this pearl. Besides, Dahuta loves to torture her too much to let her go this easily.
Lucius Quinto: Long before Dahuta was given her powers, she was an ordinary girl named Aranzebia. Aranzebia was desparately in love, but her love interest had no romantic feelings for her.
Lucius Quinto: Instead, he pursued the affection of another woman and jealousy and hate started to overcome Aranzebia. When she became the Goddess Dahuta, she'd watch Morpheus and Rangora sail her seas and loathe their love.
Lucius Quinto: The couple embodied everything she'd wanted for herself but never got and when her jealousy finally reached its peak, she sent her Kraken to kill them both.
Lucius Quinto: Morpheus barely escaped with his life, but his lover Rangora was drowned in the sea that day. Happy with the results of the attack, but not yet satisfied, Dahuta continued torturing Morpheus.
Lucius Quinto: She decided to let him live and offered Morpheus a deal he could never fulfill. Should he manage to sacrifice enough lives to Dahuta to color all seas red, she'd save Rangora's soul and bring her back to him.
Lucius Quinto: And so the relentless slaugther of innocent people began, all because a heartbroken man was promised a reward, he can never achieve.
Lucius Quinto: Shallow as she is, she likes to surround herself with beauty, so she gives her followers this pearl. The pearl itself doesn't carry her curse, but is a mere item of illusion, able to alter its holder's appearance.
King Andrion: A truly tragic tale, but no single life justifies the death of countless people. Thank you for helping me discover the truth and understanding Morpheus' motives for his actions.
