| Start NPC: Farmer Gruban Quest stages: Feeding Ground Grain to a Duckling will make it grow faster. Feeding Ground Grain to an adult Duck will make it thrive, producing more meat when it is slaughtered. Slaughter a fully-grown Duck to collect Duck Meat.
End NPC: Farmer Gruban Quest text: Farmer Gruban: So you're interested in raising livestock, are you? Farmer Gruban: Good! Too many people around here think growing a few weeds makes you a "farmer." Bah! Farmer Gruban: It's the animals that make a farm a farm. Everyone knows that. Farmer Gruban: As for me, I raise all sorts of livestock in the northern fields. Then I sell the meat and hides to Cooking Researcher Kajin for a tidy profit. Farmer Gruban: But don't worry, we won't start you off raising Bears. Why don't you try something a little easier, like Ducks? Farmer Gruban: Just buy some Ducklings from the nearest Livestock Merchant, and feed them Ground Grain to help them grow more quickly. Farmer Gruban: Once you have an adult Duck, feed it some more Ground Grain and it will thrive. Thriving Ducks will produce Duck Down while they're alive, and give you more Duck Meat when you choose to slaughter them. Farmer Gruban: Once your Ducks are fully grown, slaughter them to collect their Duck Meat. Bring it back to me, and I'll buy it wholesale. Farmer Gruban: This is some quality Duck Meat! Kajin will be pleased to see this. Her cooking students are always burning through her ingredients faster than she can keep them stocked. |
