Start NPC: Lopol Quest stages: Talk to Guard Hoecker at the Millennium Snow Village.
End NPC: Captain Fenbard Quest text: Postmaster Lopol: I'm going to guess you didn't track down a hundred-year-old letter out of the kindness of your heart. What's going on? Did Mikael Ynga really have a daughter nobody knows about? He did. And if I'm right, tracking down the address this letter was sent from might reveal the location of his lost laboratory. Would that information be in the archives? Postmaster Lopol: You don't know much about the Postmasters, do you friend? Postmaster Lopol: We're not some shoddy bunch of owl enthusiasts, throwing letters in a basket willy-nilly. Our organization has been delivering the world's most important messages since before Auroria fell. We have records on EVERYTHING. Postmaster Lopol: The great mail archives in Andelph are the center of our communications network. From there, our owls fly letters all over Erenor. And each region's Postmaster tracks the location of pickup and delivery for every single parcel. Postmaster Lopol: Unfortunately, it's not as simple as walking you into the archives. The recent Astra attacks have Andelph on high alert, and every entrance is closed. No one is getting in or out until the Andelph Guards declare it safe. Postmaster Lopol: I've heard of your fighting prowess. If you want to see the archives anytime soon, your best bet is to speak with Guard Hoecker outside. Help him put an end to the Astra threat, and the gates to Andelph will open. Captain Fenbard: Player, good to see you again! I hear you've been busy since we last met. Did you really stop some lunatic from blowing up the Nui's Glory bridge? I need to get into Andelph and look at the mail archives. But the Postmaster tells me all the gates are closed. What's going on? Guard Hoecker: Well I'm not supposed to talk about it, but... It's the Astras. They've been acting even stranger than normal lately. More aggressive. And we finally found out why. Guard Hoecker: The Astras have allied themselves with a group of Gorgons. They're using the snakes' accursed magic to strengthen and embolden their warriors. The Andelph Guards are fighting to eradicate them as we speak. This sounds serious. Where is the fighting taking place? Guard Hoecker: The Gorgons were hidden in the old Seed Mine, just west of town. Captain Fenbard is there now, leading the Andelph Guards against them. Until the fighting stops, no one is allowed in or out of Andelph. Captain Fenbard? I met him in Giant's Canyon! I'd better go see what I can do to help. |
