End NPC: Drillmaster Raysen Quest text: Apprentice Rudal: I joined the Crimson Watch so I could go with them on their expeditions into the Lost Serpent Ruins. But so far all we've done is try to keep things from coming out! Apprentice Rudal: I know there's power in those ruins. The Akasch ruled the whole world once, if the stories are true. They must have left something behind that I can use. Apprentice Rudal: The love of my life is under a powerful curse. I've tried nearly every cure I can find, but none of them were strong enough to lift it. Apprentice Rudal: Sorry. I should explain. Apprentice Rudal: I've traveled all over Haranya looking for a source of magic strong enough to free my beloved. All in vain. Apprentice Rudal: So now my journey has led me here, to the temple of the ancient Akasch. But just when I think I'm finally making some progress, the Crimson Watch won't let me get inside! Apprentice Rudal: I've even spoken with Drillmaster Raysen in Diamond Shores, but he won't budge. I think he's just afraid of unleashing the power in those ruins, no matter how noble the reason. Apprentice Rudal: He's suspicious of me now, and won't even agree to see me until I've completed my training. But you--you're a fresh face! Apprentice Rudal: If you can convince Drillmaster Raysen to let me mount an expedition into the Lost Serpent Ruins, I'll reward you with a fabulous piece of treasure. Apprentice Rudal: I have a ring that once belonged to the Marchesa Maritsa, of Ynystere. She gave it to me when she... Apprentice Rudal: Well. It's probably not important. It was before I met my beloved, anyway. Apprentice Rudal: But it's worth a fortune! And it's all yours if you can bring the Drillmaster around. Apprentice Rudal: Just go to Diamond Shores and give it a try, alright? What have you got to lose? Drillmaster Raysen: The power in Serpentis? That's nothing you want to go playing with, friend. The Akasch were a horribly evil race. Whatever is down there needs to stay buried. |
