End NPC: Marian Noryette Quest text: Lucius Quinto: Completing the last quest in this questline will reduce the summoning cost of Marian Noryette by 1. I must say, I'm impressed what you managed to organize. And I'm grateful for your confidentiality, Player. Marian Noryette: Well, we all thought it was only appropriate for everyone to honor and remember Eanna. Lucius Quinto: I know she would be happy to see everyone put their differences aside to come together for this. King Andrion II: Queen Amarendra, how long has it been since we last talked face to face? I'm glad we can be civil on this special occasion. Queen Amarendra IV: I did not expect to receive an invitation, but am grateful for the gesture. I guess our gratitude for Eanna's sacrifice is one of few things our nations can agree upon. Mahra Nahvi: Eltere, you've done well to invite us to this gathering. Eanna may not be our kin, but the world would be a much better place with more people like her. Eltere: That's exactly why we are here. To celebrate Eanna and all her good deeds. Eltere: I hope Lucius is happy to see just how loved she is, and that none of us will ever forget what she's done for the people on Auroria. Crown Prince Isan: I didn't expect this to be so emotional. Don't look at me, I'm not crying, it's just those damn onions Kurt chopped earlier. Belion: Even royalty is allowed to have feelings sometimes, Isan. Mikaella Ynga: And don't you talk smack about Kurt's cooking. I helped prepare the whole thing, so I know it's delicious. Mikaella Ynga: Whatever's in your face are probably not tears, but drool you smeared all over. Belion: Alright, that's enough. Don't forget what we're here for. If Queen Amarendra and King Andrion can be courteous, so can you two! Cook Kurt: Hear, hear. Now you all go join the ceremony and I'll finish up here. Lucius Quinto: I think the priests are about to begin the prayer. Eanna, I hope you found peace. Marian Noryette: Lucius, about her crate. I trust you received it? Nui's Shield Member Alana: Our men brought it straight to your location in Sanddeep, Marian. Nui's Shield Member Alana: And from there, they should have delivered it directly to you on Ynys Isle, Lucius. Lucius Quinto: I did receive it, along with the ring. Thank you both for retrieving the crate. Its content is now in the coffin we're about to send off to the Hereafter. Eltere: I have a question, Marian. What are all those children doing? Is that a normal part of this ceremony? Mahra Nahvi: I'm curious to learn about this tradition as well. Is this what Nuians do during their funeral rites? Lucius Quinto: It's not part of a traditional ceremony, no. This is just for Eanna... the children are planting seeds. Marian Noryette: They're flower seeds. Nui's Shield Member Alana: I heard long before the expedition, Eanna used to love planting and growing flowers herself. Lucius Quinto: That is true. She always had a special touch with all living beings and what the children are planting are her favorite flowers. Lucius Quinto: She would be happy if she saw them show so much care for those plants. Nui's Shield Member Alana: Alright Lucius, are you ready to say goodbye to Eanna in celebration of her life? Nui's Shield Member Alana: The priests are about to begin with the prayer. Lucius Quinto: The ceremony can begin, but I will never say goodbye. Priestess of Nui: Win siol em, semna eysha~ White Arden Priest: Ve orah key relra~ Marian Noryette: ... Marian Noryette: Lucius? Lucius Quinto: Yes? Priestess of Nui: Exion em testar~ White Arden Priest: Semna, aisop~ Marian Noryette: Do you understand what they're chanting? Lucius Quinto: You're being rude, Marian. Priestess of Nui: Uban, uban~ Marian Noryette: I don't think I've heard these words at other ceremonies before is all. Lucius Quinto: You didn't... Lucius Quinto: Because I wrote them. Lucius Quinto: It's in an ancient language most people don't understand anymore. Lucius Quinto: But she does... Lucius Quinto: This is a lot to process, so if you don't mind... Marian Noryette: Of course. I bet whatever it says is beautiful and she's happy to hear it. Marian Noryette: ... Lucius Quinto: ... Marian Noryette: You did a good job planting those flowers. Eanna will be so happy to see the flowers grow. Teebo: Do you think she will be able to see them, all the way from the Hereafter? Eltere: Of course she can. Even when our loved ones move into the Hereafter, a part of them always stays with us. Marian Noryette: That's correct. And you see, that man at the ceremony with the dark hood will always carry her in his heart. Marian Noryette: So whenever he goes through White Arden and sees those flowers, she will see them too. Marian Noryette: And when she sees them, she will be happy because they're her favorite flowers. Teebo: And I helped planting them, so I helped making Eanna happy, right? Teebo: Maybe I should plant more flowers then, all over the place! And then when the man comes by, she will be like "yay more flowers"! Belion: That's a very kind thought, young man. Marian Noryette: It really is and Eanna was always very kind to all people that crossed paths with her. Marian Noryette: Perhaps a piece of her is inside you too! Teebo: Really? That is awesome! I will plant a flower in front of my house and look at it every day. Marian Noryette: Maybe you should plant whatever flower your favorite is too. Cook Kurt: It will be like... double happiness, or something. Teebo: Double happiness, yes! Because I'm happy and she's happy! Teebo: Ok, I have to go now, I want to plant the flowers! Mikaella Ynga: Make sure you get home safe and no running! Marian Noryette: No running? Eltere: Hey, let me know if you plant some catnip! That's my favorite plant and it makes me very happy! Marian Noryette: Ok... thank you for your contribution to this topic, Eltere. Marian Noryette: Don't let them keep you, you can go now, Teebo. Crown Prince Isan: Would you like to know what my favorite flower is? Crown Prince Isan: NOPE! Crown Prince Isan: Everyone |
