He called me Rose, because that's the way I'd looked in the light of the setting sun when we first met: like a blushing blossom about to be swept away in the breeze. The name made me happy. It was a name that was mine, not a name that was shared by every queen, princess, and would-be princess for generations. More importantly, I abandoned my notions of revenge. To hurt my father, I'd have to kill myself, and such an act would have destroyed Jack. He worried about it constantly, but he had no idea how strong I'd become.
