End NPC: Estio Quest text: Estio: I completely trust the Vice-Captain's judgement and I'd be grateful for you help, Player. As you are aware, there was a violent earthquake a few days ago. Estio: Most of our reconstuction efforts are going very well and we expect to be back to normal in a matter of weeks, but with the earthquake came new problems. Estio: For a long time now, us humans and the Brownscale Wyrmkin have lived together in peace here in Karkasse. It is true that some of the Wyrmkin are hostile with us, but the Brownscale tribe specifically has always honored our truce. Estio: Not long after the earthquake, the Brownscales started complaining about nightmares and hallucinations and few days after those first reports, they started attacking some of our people that were on site, helping them rebuild. Estio: It's unfortunate we had to stop helping the Brownscales rebuild, but for the safety of our people, we called them all back. The problem that still concerns me, is why they have become hostile all of a sudden. Estio: Some of the higher ups have already given up on the Wyrmkin and simply accepted that they finally turned on us, but I don't believe that. I have lived here long enough to know that they wouldn't do that for no reason. Estio: I'm hoping you're willing to help me get to the bottom of all this, so we can restore our relationship with the Wyrmkin. I already have a lead as well. Estio: The Minotaurs that live south of Lavis have been acting very odd for weeks now. The shamans have been observed performing some sort of ritual, day and night. Estio: I can't shake the feeling that they might be involved in the sudden change of behavior with the Wyrmkin. If you can, I'd like you to find out what sort of ritual they are performing.That is a very odd ritual... who whirls their staff around like this?! Estio: You were fast. Did you find out what sort of ritual they are performing? Estio: You found a staff used by the Minotaur Shamans in this ritual? Very good, may I take a look? Estio: Hmmm... the staff itself is certainly not a unique tool used for the ritual. Over the years, we were forced to fight the Minotaurs on various occasions, and as far as I can tell, their shamans always carried these. Estio: I am no expert when it comes to weapons or magic however, so I will gladly have this Shaman Staff analyzed. Thank you, Player. |
