End NPC: 0 Quest text: Archeologist Karna: So who is this mysterious person you are looking for, Marian? Archeologist Karna: Do you have a name or can you describe them? Most people in this city frequent the harbor, so if they're from Ezna, there's a good chance I'll recognize them. Disguised Kurt: I have a letter with a name... here... do you know them? Archeologist Karna: What an interesting accent you have. I must say, I'm rather curious who's hiding under this Yateo costume. Marian Noryette: I don't mean to be rude Karna, but this is sort of urgent. Do you know the person on the letter or not? Archeologist Karna: Let's see.... hmmmmmmm.... Fiona... Archeologist Karna: Ah, I know! The owner of the tavern in the Commercial District has a servant called Fiona. Marian Noryette: The tavern? Oh, you mean the little outdoor space, the locals frequent? Marian Noryette: I know where that is. Alright, let's head over there, Player. Disguised Kurt: Miss Karna, we are very grateful for your help. Please accept this as token of appreciation. Disguised Kurt: It's not much, but it's all I can offer. Archeologist Karna: What's this? A potato sack? I guess I know what I'm having for dinner tonight! Fiona: I swear, I don't know who drew this! Eznan Royal Guard: Don't lie to us, servant girl! Either you tell us who did this, or we have to assume it was you! Disguised Kurt: What is going on here?! Marian Noryette: Is that Fiona? Looks like she's in trouble... Eznan Royal Guard: This is your final warning, girl! If you don't start talking, we will have to arrest you! Fiona: I swear I didn't draw this, and I don't know who did. Someone must have vandalized our tavern over night. Disguised Kurt: She's in trouble over a drawing? That ugly doodle on the wall? Marian Noryette: The problem with the drawing is the story it tells. The two pillars represent both sides of the Royal Family, but one of them was destroyed by lightning. Marian Noryette: People started treating this occurance like an omen and thought it means the side of the family struck by lightning must be removed. Marian Noryette: It was disgraceful for the Royal Family to be so naive and act in such irrational way and that's why to this day, talking about this topic is forbidden. Disguised Kurt: So because someone vandalized this tavern, Fiona now gets thrown into jail? Marian Noryette: Well no... that's not how our justice system works. Disguised Kurt: It sure looks like this is what's happening here though. Marian Noryette: Fiona will be brought in for questioning and only if she is found guilty, she will be put into jail. Marian Noryette: But if she's innocent as she claims, she can return home without punishment. Eznan Royal Guard: Lady Marian! We didn't see you approach. Marian Noryette: It's alright and we heard what's going on. I'll take it from here, you can return to your patrolling duties. Eznan Royal Guard: You don't have to waste your time with this servant girl, lady Marian. It's not a big deal at all, we can take care of her. Marian Noryette: Are you saying that an insult towards the Royal Family is not a big deal?! Eznan Royal Guard: Oh no, of... of course not, lady Marian! As you wish, we will leave it to you. Marian Noryette: My personal guards here will arrest the girl. And the two of you shall not speak to the public about this incident. Marian Noryette: The existance of this disgraceful drawing mustn't be known. I'll have some servants come and clean it. Disguised Kurt: Alright missy, you're coming with us now! Fiona: Lady Marian, please, I didn't draw this. Please let me go! Disguised Kurt: That's enough out of you... let's go! Disguised Kurt: The women are inside, taking a bath. You can go if you want, I'm keeping watch. Marian Noryette: Player, you're welcome to join if you'd like. This is a shared public bath, nothing to be ashamed of. Marian Noryette: I'll have a chat with Fiona over here. Fiona: What is going on? Why are we here? |
