End NPC: Crown Prince Quest text: Crown Prince: Among the skyfin there used to be Goldscales, godbeasts of the empire. They're nearly gone for good, now... The old glory of Perinoor has disappeared, and now only pieces remain. Crown Prince: If you find the Goldscale Scales in the lake, you might realize why we're trying to preserve the engravings here at the tower. The empire fell centuries ago, but its history remains. Crown Prince: Did you find many of their scales? Were you able to collect any? Crown Prince: The skyfins have extreme lifespans. When I first considered how to restore the stone engravings, I thought about replacing them with carved scales. Crown Prince: The scales remain long after a skyfin dies, and as long as they're untouched will remain preserved forever. But there lies the problem; once touched, they disintegrate. |
