| To start this quest get the : Heart of the Sun. Quest stages: Talk to Viviano the Jewel Merchant or Lady Rose in Sanddeep. This enormous jewel was recovered from the wreck of the Seawise Queen. You could sell it to Viviano the Jewel Merchant, or show it to Lady Rose and learn about its history.
Quest completes automatically Quest text: Merchant Viviano: You found this in the wreck of the Seawise Queen? If that's true, a jewel of this size could only be the lost Heart of the Sun! Merchant Viviano: I'll have to run a few tests to see if it's genuine, of course. But if this is the real thing, it's worth a fortune. Merchant Viviano: The Heart of the Sun was cut by master jewelers for the crown of Queen Marian herself. But it sank with the Seawise Queen, in the depths of Dahuta's Garden. You must be very brave, to recover it from such a place. Merchant Viviano: Unfortunately, it is the property of the royal family. I can give you a small reward for finding it, but no more. Even if it ends up being real, it will have to be sent to Ezna as soon as possible. The rich get all the luck, eh? Lady Rose: The Heart of the Sun? You really have found the wreck of the Seawise Queen, then. Lady Rose: I can't imagine the risks you took diving in Dahuta's Garden. But I'm afraid I have bad news. I'm sorry to disappoint you, adventurer, but the jewel you've found is a fake. Lady Rose: You see, I'm the only one who knows what happened to the real Heart of the Sun. I was there when the Seawise Queen went down. My real name isn't Rose... it's Marian Trieste. Lady Rose: During the celebration on the Seawise Queen, I wore the fake jewel you now hold. My father feared thieves, you see, and hid the real Heart of the Sun in a vault inside his cabin. Lady Rose: I know this must be hard to believe, but I swear it's true. I was once the famous daughter of a noble house, set to become the next queen of Two Crowns. And I hated every moment of it. Lady Rose: But that voyage changed me. Just as I had decided to end it all, a young sailor saved my life. With him, I experienced true love for the first time. Foolish love, of course, but sweet all the same. And in that love, I found my strength again. Lady Rose: I knew I could never run away with Jack. My father would have killed him. But as a token of my love, I swore I would give him the Heart of the Sun. So I swapped my fake stone for the real one, and snuck into his cabin for one last night together. Lady Rose: But that night, the storm struck without warning. My father, the crew... even my beloved Jack. All were lost beneath the waves. And when I alone survived the shipwreck, I knew it was my one chance to escape my old life. Lady Rose: That was over fifty years ago. I hid the gem to stop anyone from suspecting I'd survived, and took up the name Rose. That's what Jack called me, when we were together. His precious rose. And it's the only name I'll wear until I see my love again. |
