| Start NPC: Regrade Pirate Quest stages: Destroy the Leviathan's Carcass before it is towed to Diamond shores, and absorb a portion of the Leviathan's Spirit. The Leviathan's Spirit cannot be absorbed if the carcass decomposes naturally.
End NPC: Regrade Pirate Quest text: Regrade Pirate: Do you know of the Leviathan? The demon in the deep? There was a time when pirates lived beside him. They'd come across a ruined ship--all broken down to splinters--and thank him for the loot he'd left behind. Regrade Pirate: But now these pompous 'lubbers have the gall to hunt him! They plan to cut him down with cannon fire, and tow his carcass back to Diamond Shores. Arrogant fools. They don't know the old ways. The rites of blood and brine. Regrade Pirate: If you ever see his body being dragged towards the shore, you sound the call. You arm yourself, gather a crew, and lay waste to those who would disgrace the dark prince of the depths. Regrade Pirate: There's magic in the water, see? And magic in his blood. If you can destroy his corpse before they hang it up to dry, he'll be reborn at the bottom of the sea. And trust me, he remembers those who serve him well. Regrade Pirate: If you do manage to save him, be sure to take the gift he leaves you. There's few men living who have earned the black beast's favor, friend... And fewer still who'll stand against you once you have it. Regrade Pirate: You did it, didn't you? You destroyed the Leviathan's body! Regrade Pirate: No, you don't have to answer. I can see the creature's mark on you already. Regrade Pirate: You've done the black beast a great service, mate. And for that, he's given you a small taste of his power. Be sure you don't waste it. |
