End NPC: Healer Kaven Quest text: Nasai: I was searching Serjan's room for clues, and found containers of white powder. He's been acting awfully strange, so I wonder if it has to do with this stuff. Can you find out what it is? Nasai: Healer Kaven might know whether this is medicine or something worse. He's usually over by the pond. Healer Kaven: This is no medicine at all... it's a drug that causes hallucinations. It's become a rather common use for Haver plants... I wonder if Serjan might be addicted. Healer Kaven: The Haver plant growing here is very useful, because it can be turned into fabric, but it has a dangerous side as well. Healer Kaven: Creating the drug from Haver is prohibited by royal order. It's very expensive, and anyone caught with it is to be arrested! Healer Kaven: Even making the drug is another matter entirely... it's a complicated process and not something that can be done with just a couple of people. I wonder who made this... Healer Kaven: The Queen has ordered even more Haver to be planted to support an expedition, which means there will be even more of it on the market. It may not result in the best outcome for the people living here... |
