Quest text:
Marian Noryette: Player, I asked Alana and Hector to join us, so we can learn more about the Crimson Army and why they are attacking the gate.
Captain Hector: Well, the Arden Guards have a few theories, but we aren't certain yet, what exactly the reason is behind all this.
Marian Noryette: Well, don't leave us hanging Hector. Tell us what you know, or what you've heard so far.
Captain Hector: One of the more popular theories, I've already shared with you, Player. We received reports from the Crimson Watch, about some large Dimensional Clock in the Hiram Mountains, that supposedly was destroyed.
Captain Hector: I believe it was a member of the Hiram that did the deed. Some legendary hero crossed the plans of the Abyssal Legion.
Captain Hector: I'm not sure if the two of you have heard of the Abyssal Legion before? I believe they are somehow tied to... the... uuuh...
Nui's Shield Member Alana: ... Kyrios. They are tied to Kyrios and they tried to bring the God of Destruction back into the world of the living, with that clock that got destroyed.
Captain Hector: Yes, that's what I was about to say... the God of Destruction, Kyrios. I'm a bit fuzzy on the details, but anyway. Since Kyrios' plan to escape his prison through the Hiram Mountains was ruined, he turned his focus on our gate.
Nui's Shield Member Alana: Our theory, or at least the theory Hector and I believe, is that he is testing our defenses with his Crimson Army. We think he wants to return to the world through the Heart of White Arden.
Captain Hector: One thing we noticed and is certain though, is that they are affected by what we call dawn. Dawn in the Hereafter doesn't just bring light, but also a layer of fog, if you will, that highly reduces their visibility.
Captain Hector: It's become the only reliable thing in our fight against the Crimson Army so far. When dawn breaks, the enemy scatters and doesn't return until the next evening, when the fog vanishes again.
Marian Noryette: So this is why they retreat at dawn? Is it the light or the fog that they fear?
Captain Hector: We're not sure. Perhaps it's the light, perhaps it's the fog... perhaps both? Either way, as soon as the light and the fog disappear, the Crimson Army will be back again.
Captain Hector: I know you and your companions have your own reasons for visiting the Hereafter, but you intend to continue helping us, right?
Nui's Shield Member Alana: Under your leadership, Player, Marian and her companions have done wonderful work and like I said earlier, I'd be glad to reward you for your continued support. A mail owl should have delivered your payment for the last fight by now.
Marian Noryette: You have my sword, Alana, but I can't speak for my companions before I consult with them. I believe that, as long as we're allowed passage, so we can search for the people we seek, they'll be interested in helping you though.
Nui's Shield Member Alana: Of course, Marian. Please consult with your companions and see if they'll return to help us. They can pass through our gates as they please as reward.
Marian Noryette: Will do. Commander Player, I can count on you to lead us again, right? Let's meet with our friends back at the Golden Fable Harbor.
Marian Noryette: Ah there you are. I just told everyone of our conversation with Alana and Hector.
Belion: Indeed, and this whole situation sounds a lot more serious than we thought. We all just hoped to find a way to visit some loved ones that crossed over to the Hereafter.
Marian Noryette: Yes, but with what we saw out there and the rumors we heard, we can't just sit back and let the Arden Guards handle it all by themselves.
Eltere: Yes, I agree. We need to fight these baddies, so White Arden is safe again. I'm going to put as many arrows in them as I can!
Marian Noryette: If we really want to make a difference, I think we should also try to come up with some sort of plan. Killing an undead army over and over won't fix the problem.
Eltere: Hmmmm, yeah probably. But who knows that kinda stuff?
Belion: If I may suggest... perhaps an old friend, turned enemy of Kyrios might know something helpful.
Marian Noryette: Who do you have in mind, Belion? Kyrios killed his best friend Tahyang and his former mentor's assistant Aranzeb. I know Aranzeb is who you seek in the Hereafter too, but how do we even talk to him?
Marian Noryette: Are you only suggesting this, so we expedite your search, or do you really think this is a good course of action right now?
Marian Noryette: You know, the more I think about it, the less I believe...
Mikaella Ynga: Oh silly you, he can't possibly mean Aranzeb. Him and Kyrios weren't even really friends. I heard they both loved the same girl. How can you be friends with someone like that? He's talking about Lucius of course!
Marian Noryette: Lucius? Well yes, that makes perfect sense! I apologize dear Belion, I'm still quite tired from our fight and my mind started playing tricks on me.
Marian Noryette: Player, you have spoken to Lucius on several occasions already, haven't you? Would you mind accompanying me to Ynys Isle to meet with him?
Marian Noryette: I have a feeling with you by my side, I have better chances at an audience with him.
Eltere: Don't get eaten by the sharks out in the water, ok? I can't stand water!
Lucius Quinto: It's good to see you again, Player.
Marian Noryette: Lucius, we have come to seek your guidance. Something horrible is happening in White Arden.
Lucius Quinto: You are here to find answers about the Hereafter Rebellion, isn't that so?
Marian Noryette: Yes, the Hereafter Rebellion is why we are here. We helped the Arden Guards fight the Crimson Army, but are left with so many questions.
